Ailsa Carson – Partner

I joined S A Partners in 2018, and became a Partner in July 2019. Working with the global team I support the development and delivery of our event and workshop programmes. This includes Onsite Insights (the UK’s national Best Practice Visit Programme); the Lean Forum; our Leadership Masterclass programmes, Shingo Workshops, and our Webinar programme.

Prior to joining S A Partners I ran the UK funded government initiative Inside UK Enterprise and was responsible for converting this to a commercial venture in 2003. The programme encourages the sharing of innovation and best practice through a series of one day visits. It has been highly successful and is supported by a wide range of award-winning companies across the UK.

In 2016 I co-founded the Lean Forum, a not-for-profit network for Lean professionals that operates in several regions across the UK.

Prior to this I spent time as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands; I also worked on marketing and communication programmes with the Tourism Council of the South Pacific, Air New Zealand, IATA, Telecom New Zealand and the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand (ECNZ). Whilst at Ernst & Young I ran a major project which established the use of Economic Impact Studies to measure the impact of major events within the country.

I studied Law & Politics at the University of Plymouth and for several years worked as an industry lecturer in Services Marketing at Auckland University. Through my work with the manufacturing sector in the UK I have been invited to speak regularly at manufacturing conferences and exhibitions on ‘Best Practice’ and Continuous Improvement within Manufacturing.
