About this Event

The Lean Awareness White Belt (Level 1A) is a globally recognised foundation qualification in Lean. It is the first step for individuals who would like to become more involved in improvement activities within their own company and the precursor to the more advanced Yellow and Green Belt courses.

This course is Internationally recognised as the foundation for Lean learning and provides the participant with an understanding of the fundamental lean principles. Specifically you will:

  • Be able to participate effectively in improvement activities.
  • Understand the five principles of lean.
  • Discover the importance of people in Continuous Improvement; and
  • Be confident in deploying the key foundations of Continuous Improvement tools.

How it is delivered

We deliver the course through:

Virtual Training

The training is set up using Zoom Meetings in 2 x 2 hour sessions over two days. This will be supported by self study. We will use case studies and activities to ensure the training is enjoyable, meaningful and relevant.

Coaching

Every candidate will receive 1:1 coaching support from one of our experienced trainers.

Experiential learning

You will practice what you have learnt by undertaking a real-life ‘Kaizen’ activity. You will then present this back as part of your accreditation.

Accredited Learning

On successful completion of this course you will receive your accredited White Belt (1A) Certificate from LCS & Cardiff University.
