Lean Practitioner Event

The aim of this 4 day programme is to equip those involved in improvement activities with the knowledge and skills to participate fully and effectively.

This small group workshop is delivered in 2 sessions to enable you  to apply some of the tools and techniques you will learn about between the sessions. The workshop comprises presentations, practical examples  and interactive exercises.You will also take part in a fun interactive simulation and a work based improvement project.

The Principles of Lean Thinking, understanding customer value, visual management, 5S.

Change management, explanation of the Lean Business System,

Strategy Deployment and Value Stream Mapping theory and practise including a review and understanding of Big Picture Mapping and Four Fields mapping

Session 2 :14-15 November  2017

Problem Solving and selecting the right tools and techniques. Overview of a range of improvement tools and techniques.

Certification

This workshop is the second in a series of accredited training programmes aligned with Cardiff University’s Lean Competency System. Delegates who successfully complete the programme will receive a Certificate awarded by the University.

  • Understand Professor Peter Hines’ Lean Business Model
  • Be able to participate in effective improvement activities
  • Diagnose issues in a process using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Implement permanent solutions that resolve the root cause issues and prevent re-occurrence of the problem
  • Learn a range of value stream mapping tools
  • Understand practical approaches to delivering employee engagement and sustainable improvement

This workshop will be of interest to Managers, Team Leaders, Change Agents and individuals responsible for carrying out business improvement activities.

We are also happy to provide this workshop internally which is a more cost effective option for groups of up to 14. Please contact us for a quote.

This is the second in a series of accredited training programmes aligned with Cardiff University’s Lean Competency System. As well as conventional classroom teaching you will be mentored through a work based project sponsored by your employer. If you successfully complete the program you will receive a certificate awarded by the University .

The program has also been awarded 28 hours CPD credits.
