Dr. Donna Samuel and Dr.Toni Whitehead were delighted to participate in a research dissemination event organised by Cranfield University’s Supply Chain Responsiveness in Practice (SCRiP) event on Tuesday 13th November.
SCRiP is a practice-oriented task group at Cranfield Unversity’s School of Management established in direct response to the challenge of making industrial supply Chains more responsive to customer needs.
S A Partners have been proud sponsors of the SCRiP research programme (including the precedessor research programme) for the last four years. We are always keen to stay abreast of the very lattest ‘leading edge’ thinking with which to enrich our work, in this instance, in the areas of customer responsiveness and extended enterprise. The SCRiP research programme has developed some insightful and practical analytical techniques for demand profiling to inform supply chain segmentation practice. Other collaborators in the SCRiP programme include global companies such as Tata Global Beverages, British American Tobacco, Kimberly Clerk, Shell Lubricants and Babcock International.
The SCRiP ‘Insight’ day was preceded by gala dinner the evening before in which Professor Martin Christopher shared his views on the turbulent and environment and challenges facing supply chain specialists of today.
