The length of a typical Shingo journey from start to a Shingo challenge is typically 3 to 5 years for an organisation that has already achieved a good level of performance and lean knowledge. This does vary by the starting position, size of organisation, leadership commitment and the resources available. During this period, you will need to work on creating a Culture of Improvement through:
- Leadership at all levels consistently to develop and display Principle-based behaviours
- Systems and Tools to improve your daily work and
- The competencies to create a Shingo recognised organisation
The roadmap and implementation plan to do this is customised for each of respective clients. What we have found is that all our clients have asked for support in terms of coaching, benchmarking visits, consulting and training during this period.
