Ed Clements

Ed has 30 years experience of facilitating lean transformations in both Service and Manufacturing with projects in many sectors. To date Ed has supported over 100 different organisations including food, FMCG, chemical, pharma, engineering, construction, advanced materials, aerospace, automotive, software, and service.

Prior to his current role Ed worked across Europe for the global consultancy company Kaizen® Institute and was also a Lead Practitioner at The Manufacturing Institute being instrumental in developing the first regional BERR Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS).

As an early UK adopter Ed began his Kaizen and Lean learning in 1992 from Nissan’s Supplier Development team as Kaizen Manager at 1st-tier automotive supplier Metallifacture Ltd when the company won awards from Nissan, Honda and General Motors.

Working across many sectors and contexts Ed employs lean, agile and flow thinking to support leaders and natural work teams create their own best improvement systems, behaviours and culture. With SA Partners these interventions include both supporting small local teams and mega projects.

Academically Ed supports lean, agile and Operational Excellence teaching at the University of Buckingham. He has a Lean Manufacturing MPhil degree and BEng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering from Nottingham University.
