The Improvement Awareness (1A) Lean Sigma White Belt accredited training course enables candidates to understand what is involved in carrying out a continuous improvement transformation programme. It equips candidates with a basic understanding of how improvement can happen and provides the necessary tools to participate in improvement activities.
What is covered in the course?
This course is delivered over 8 hours in either one or two modules and includes continuous improvement philosophy, principles and basic tools that can be used to support transformation.
What level of benefit can we expect?
Delegate is capable of participating in change. We would expect individuals have the ability to contribute a >5% improvement in costs, customer service, compliance, colleague satisfaction, colleague capability or capacity.
Who should attend?
Anyone that is involved in improving what they do. The course provides the basic information required for people to be able to participate in any improvement programmes.
What commitment should an organisation make?
We would recommend that organisation train 100% of their people in this product and ensure individuals have at least 5% of their time dedicated to improvement.
Can the course be customised?
We can tailor materials to suit the specific needs of your organisation. We will work with you to align the content to incorporate your companies core values and objectives.
Approach & Certification
The content is developed using the 70:20:10 learning framework (see below); and from our prize-winning publications and thought leadership case studies and white papers. Certification is issued by the Lean Competency System (LCS) which is approved by Cardiff University.
All Improvement Coach courses are accredited and certified through the Lean Competency System (LCS) which is approved by Cardiff University. This provides your team with globally recognised accreditation for their achievements.
We are affiliates of the Shingo Institute based at the John Hunstman Business School at the University of Utah to deliver their training courses. These form a key part of our approvement coach capability.

The 70-20-10 model for Learning & Development provides a trusted formula for effective learning. The model developed by Eichinger, Lombardo and McCall, it is widely used in training development and deployment.
