The Improvement Practitioner (1B) Lean Sigma Yellow Belt enables candidates to deliver task level change within a Continuous Improvement Transformation programme. It equips candidates with the skills to solve problems and manage teams to deliver problem solving and sustainable benefits.
What is covered in the course?
This course can be delivered either in-house or virtually, taking 3-6 months to complete, and will provide candidates with awareness and basic understanding of improvement principles and concepts
What level of benefit can we expect?
On completion the candidates will be capable of leading task level change- delivering projects that are capable of achieving a >5% improvement in costs, customer service, compliance, colleague satisfaction, colleague capability or capacity. It is an essential course for any front line leader participating in a transformation programme.
Who should attend?
Team leaders that want to deliver improvements in their own or their teams work. The course provides the essential people and process skills to enabling them to deliver sustainable problem resolution.
What commitment should an organisation make?
We would recommend that the organisation train 20% of their people in this product and ensure individuals have at least 10% of their time dedicated to improvement.

Approach & Certification
The content is developed using the 70:20:10 learning framework (see below), and from our prize-winning publications and thought leadership case studies, and white papers. Certification is issued by the Lean Competency System (LCS) which is approved by Cardiff University.
All Improvement Coach courses are accredited and certified through the Lean Competency System (LCS) which is approved by Cardiff University. This provides your team with globally recognised accreditation for their achievements.
We are affiliates of the Shingo Institute based at the John Hunstman Business School at the University of Utah to deliver their training courses. These form a key part of our approvement coach capability.

The 70-20-10 model for Learning & Development provides a trusted formula for effective learning. The model developed by Eichinger, Lombardo and McCall, it is widely used in training development and deployment.
