This Shingo Cultural Enablers workshop is delivered onsite at Utah Transit Authority, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA over two days. It focuses on developing and designing the right behaviours to enable you to deliver organizational excellence.

This two-day workshop integrates classroom and on-site experiences at our host facility to build upon the knowledge and experience gained from the Discover Excellence and Systems Design* workshops. It takes you deeper into the Shingo Model™ by focusing on the principles identified in the Cultural Enablers dimension:

Cultural Enablers principles make it possible for people in an organization to engage in the transformation journey, progress in their understanding, and build a culture of organizational excellence. Organizational excellence cannot be achieved through top-down directives or piecemeal implementation of tools. It requires a widespread organizational commitment. The Cultural Enablers workshop will help you define ideal behaviors and the systems that drive them by using behavioral benchmarks.

Rick

Ric Guba is one of our most popular Shingo Facilitators, regularly scoring above 4.5/5 on feedback.. He is an experienced and certified professional in Change Management, Leadership, Lean Six Sigma and holds a faculty position at the Ohio State University. He is widely regarded for his expertise in Lean Leadership and his work with the Shingo Institute that is furthering thought leadership in Enterprise Excellence.

About the Host Site

The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) provides public transportation across the Wasatch Front, covering a 1,400-square-mile area including Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, and surrounding counties. As of 2026, the agency operates a comprehensive network including TRAX light rail, FrontRunner commuter rail, bus rapid transit (BRT), and fixed-route buses.
