I am a Senior Consultant for SA Partners based in the state of South Carolina.
Over the course of my 35-year career I have served in a multitude of senior leadership roles primarily within two companies Textron and Ingersoll Rand. I have never lost sight of my humble beginnings on the factory floor where I was immersed in the fundamentals of Continuous Improvement through formal team based Problem-Solving methodologies. I truly believe it is this foundation that has made me the Servant Leader I am today!
Much of my career has been spent within the Automotive Sector where I was fortunate to work extensively with Toyota as my customer. This relationship allowed me to obtain great insight, mentoring and coaching around the tools and principles within the Toyota Production System. I have always considered myself to be a student of Lean, continuing to learn to this day.
I have worked within the following business sectors; Tier 1 Automotive , Aerospace, Power Tools, Fluid Management and Fabrication Industries. I am a Mechanical Engineer as well as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, I have also completed formal training in Situational Leadership, Developing Leadership Excellence, Coaching for Superior Performance and Building High Performance Teams. In 2016, while working for Ingersoll Rand, I was recognized with the Chairman’s Award for my contribution to the development & deployment of a formal “Team Leader Development Program”.To this day the program drives the culture of daily Continuous Improvement from the lowest levels of the Ingersoll Rand organization, while developing the future leaders of the company.
I have successfully lead teams within many different cultures around the world through long term assignments in the UK, Canada, Sweden, Germany, China, Mexico and both the Northern & Southern United States. I have found that regardless of where in the world I am, people can achieve great things when they are given a purpose, the right tools and the opportunity to be successful.
I am experienced and comfortable either coaching Strategy in the boardroom or mentoring and coaching Problem Solving where the work is performed. I have great passion for helping people at all levels of an organization solve problems while moving their organization toward their defined True North.
My wife Malinda and I have two grown children, Daniela 31 yrs. and Steven 29 yrs. ,we also enjoy two beautiful grandchildren, Maddox 2 and Addison 10 mths. In my spare time I enjoy restoring and driving 60’s vintage automobiles, playing Guitar, boating with the family and hanging out with my 4 rescue dogs.
